Measurable progress at LEAP
HOW WE MEASURE YOUR PROGRESS
Every set you train at LEAP in East Lakeview Chicago is logged, compared to the last time you did it, and reviewed by your coach. This page shows you exactly what that looks like — before you ever walk in.

The short version
Four things we measure — and show you
Most people do not stop training because it is hard. They stop because nothing visibly changes. LEAP measures four layers of progress and puts every one of them in your hands.
1
Every set you lift
Weight, reps and how many reps you had left — logged on your phone as you train, next to the target your coach wrote for that lift.
2
Every session you show up for
Sessions this block, weeks in a row, new personal bests and benchmark scores beaten — added up automatically, and summed into a report card at the end of every block.
3
How you eat, sleep and recover
If you are in nutrition coaching — a two-week cycle covering meals, meal times, sleep, water, caffeine, alcohol and training, read by your coach before your check-in.
4
What your body is made of
DEXA body composition scans through our Live Lean Rx partnership — lean mass, fat mass and body fat, tracked across the nutrition program.
Personal Training
YOUR WHOLE TRAINING HISTORY, IN ONE PLACE
If you train one-on-one at LEAP, your coach programs and records every session — and you get a read-only progress view built from it. Nothing to fill in. It updates after each session.
Where you are in the block — Foundation, Build, Intensify or Perform, and what that month is for.
Your Month 1 lifts, then and now — in Month 4 you return to the lifts you started with, at your strongest controllable loads.
New bests — computed from estimated strength, and only counted on the exact same lift.
Personal Training and team sessions together — because your Personal Training membership includes unlimited team sessions.
A note from your coach — written to you, in plain language.
Your body composition — every DEXA scan, oldest to newest.
A report card at the end of every block — your Month 1 lifts against the same lifts in Month 4.

THE TEAM SESSION LOG
Every member training in a team session gets their own link. It opens on your phone at the rack, shows the lifts programmed for that day, and remembers what you did last time.
The target is already there — the sets, reps and effort your coach programmed for that lift.
How to do it — the coaching cue for the movement, one tap away, in your own words rather than a diagram.
Loads that exist on our floor — suggestions use the dumbbells, kettlebells and bars we actually own, so you are never told to grab a weight that is not there.
Last time is right in front of you — faded numbers from your previous session, so adding load is a decision, not a guess.
Reps left on your last set — the effort marker that tells your coach whether to add load, hold or reduce.
Swaps for the day you're actually in — every lift carries alternatives for a busy station, an easier or harder version, a sore joint, or a hotel gym while you travel. Pick one and the log records what you actually did, so the history stays honest.
Your Personal Training membership includes unlimited team sessions, so both views draw on the same training history.
Nutrition coaching
The two-week check-in cycle
Training is half of it. Members in nutrition coaching get a phone-first check-in for each 14-day cycle — built on Precision Nutrition hand portions, so there is nothing to weigh and nothing to count.
What you fill in
Meals as hand portions — protein, vegetables, carbohydrates and fats
The time you ate each one
Sleep, water, caffeine and alcohol
Which sessions you trained
It takes seconds per meal and it runs on your phone.
What your coach sees
At the end of the fourteen days, everything rolls up into a check-in summary your coach reads before your session — so the conversation starts with your actual two weeks, not with "how has it been going?"

Body composition
DEXA scans, not the scale
Bodyweight on its own is a poor measure of a strength program working. Through our partnership with Live Lean Rx, members in the nutrition program are scanned at day 0, 90, 180 and 270.
Lean mass — the number a strength program is supposed to move.
Fat mass and body fat percentage — measured, not estimated from a handheld device.
Every scan, side by side — the change is shown against your first scan, not against an average.
Scan results appear inside the Personal Training progress view, next to the training that produced them.

Personal Training · every block
Your block report card
A LEAP block runs four months — Foundation, Build, Intensify, Perform. At the end of each block, in Month 4, Week 4, your Personal Training report card lands: your starting lifts next to the same lifts at your strongest, and what four months of showing up actually moved.
Month 1 against Month 4 — lift by lift, your best set then next to your best set now.
Gains counted honestly — a lift only shows a gain when it is the exact same lift. Variations are shown, never credited.
Sessions each month — the consistency that produced the numbers, not just the numbers.
Your biggest jump of the block — the single lift that moved the most, in pounds.
This is the most concrete thing LEAP will hand you. Not a feeling about whether training is working — four months of your own numbers, side by side.
Members training in Team Strength Sessions and Team Peak Performance Sessions get their own end-of-block report card, built from the Team Session Log.
Where your numbers come from
YOUR FIRST SET OF NUMBERS IS YOUR STARTING POINT
None of this starts with an app. It starts with a coach, an assessment and a plan — and then the measuring takes care of itself.
01
Book your Starting Point
Personal Training Starting Point or Team Training Starting Point — whichever path fits how you want to train.
02
Schedule your LEAP Onboarding Session
Through the LEAP App (powered by TeamUp), along with everything else on your schedule.
03
Complete your LEAP Onboarding Session
About 45 minutes, one-on-one. Assessment, goal-setting, plan-building. This is where your baseline gets set — it is not a sales consultation and it is not training itself.
04
Run the sessions in your Starting Point
Coached training, with the Myzone heart rate system in session and your own log filling in as you go.
05
Decide on your membership
No long-term membership decision until you have trained with us — and by then you will have numbers to decide with.
New to structured training? LEAP team programming is built to be scalable from day one, so you can join at any point in a block and still train successfully within the system.
